Small and well-located, Estancia La Elvira is a really great example of a traditional, working farm and, located close to some of the best orca hunting areas, it offers a great opportunity to see plenty of good wildlife.

At around an hour and a half from the airport, Estancia Dos Lunas offers a welcome retreat from the stresses and strains of the world. Featuring exceptional food and comfortable, traditional accommodation, the rolling hills that surround the farm are superb for those looking to get out into raw nature.

The Eolo Hotel, Patagonia, is one of the select group of hotels in Argentina that have been awarded membership of the Relais and Chateau group, it is easy to see why. Set outside of El Calafate, Eolo is perched on the side of a sweeping, Patagonian landscape that, due to the clever design of the rooms, literally flows right through the hotel.

The El Cortijo Hotel is both small and intimate, located in the small town of Cachi on the famous driving circuit out of Salta to Cafayate. Usually used as a single night stop over, it has all of the facilities that you can ask for from a simple hotel.

Situated just off the main road out of town to the Llao Llao peninsular, the Design Suites Bariloche are chic and an interesting alternative. The first thing that is apparent is that they have clearly considered the layout, with the views to the lake given centre stage from the main areas and around a third of the rooms (including from the baths!).
