The Posada Salentein is a small posada that is located not far from the Salentein winery and is owned by the same. They currently offer accommodation for up to 32 people in three main areas…two houses of 4 rooms and one larger and newer area with a further 8. The real benefit of staying here is really that you are right in amongst the vines themselves and so don’t need to travel far in order to do some serious sampling!

The older rooms are simple enough and offer all of the things you would want out in this area…good views and general piece and quiet. It would not be for people who are wanting to have plenty of input such as tvs etc….but it is a great location with views out across working vines and a good pool and relaxing area.

The main focus for the Posada Salentein is to have the location right in amongst the vines and the quiet. Another point that they mention is that they have very good horse riding in the area and so this is also a consideration. If people are not riders then we would suggest that a couple of nights here and a couple in the city would be a good mix, as it is a long day to come out here for a couple of days…but, as this is in the Uco Valley, if they are keen on their wine, this is the perfect spot to use as a base for the area.

We like the Posada salentein a lot and would definitely recommend it along with the fact that the service is superb. The newer rooms are much more of the style of a modern hotel and so may suit certain people better, especially considering the older rooms, while basic, also do not have aircon.

In the vines, great food, facilities, great service
