The latest and most contemporary, luxury property on the Sacred Valley hotel scene. The Tambo del Inka Resort & Spa is the largest property in the area, but the dizzyingly high ceilings, spacious gardens and expansive interiors provide a very tranquil setting.
The Belmond Sanctuary Lodge can rightfully boast to have the best location for visiting Machu Picchu, but that is where the bragging ends. Whilst all other properties are situated approx. 20 minutes down the mountain in Aguas Calientes, the Belmond sits proudly at the turnstiles to Machu Picchu.
Heather and David travelled with us in October 2018 to Peru for their honeymoon. They visited the infamous Machu Picchu as well as the Peruvian Amazon. By all accounts they had a good trip but don't take out word for it!
Aranwa Cusco Boutique Hotel is an intriguing blend of hotel and museum. This 16th Century colonial mansion, formerly the residence of a Spanish conquistador, a priest of the city Cathedral and Cusco’s famous author Clorinda Matto de Turner, the property is steeped in history.
Deb and Simon had a fantastic trip to South America in August 2016, coinciding with the Olympics in Rio! The highlights included Cusco, Machu Picchu and the Amazon, in addition to Rio and Buenos Aires.
The Hotel de Autor is a homely 4-room bed and breakfast in the district of Miraflores. Set back from the main street in a quiet cul-de-sac, the hotel combines laid-back informal service with accommodation that is well put together and inviting.
Another of the Casa Andina properties, the Private Collection Miraflores is a good quality four star option in the centre of the Miraflores district. The facilities at the hotel are to a good standard and include a gym, sauna and indoor pool.
