A luxury property at the edge of Aguas Calientes, the Sumaq Machu Pueblo Hotel provides a superior level of comfort and service for a night or two before or after visiting the citadel. Considered to be one of the best hotels in Aguas Calientes and certainly boasting the best restaurant in town, the Sumaq is a great choice for those looking to indulge for a couple of nights.
The second hotel owned by Inkatera in Aguas Calientes, El Mapi is a modern and contemporary hotel in the centre of town. Providing good value, comfortable accommodation, El Mapi is ideal for an overnight stop before or after visiting Machu Picchu.
An ideal resting spot before or after visiting Machu Picchu, the Inakterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel has to be our favourite in Aguas Calientes. Its tranquil position surrounded by lush cloud forest offers a welcome respite from the bustling centre with all its comings and goings.
Along with the Iguazu Falls, Rio and the Galapagos, Machu Picchu is one of the most famous destinations in South America. At approximately 50 miles to the northwest of the stunning Incan city of Cusco, this Inca citadel is one of the most stunning archaeological sites in the world and gives a glimpse at the level of sophistication of this 15th century tribe.
